“It’s Janet, the Drama Lady!” For the past 5 years, we have run a Drama Incursion during Term 4 at Two Rocks Primary School. And so it was again this year that as I entered the school gates – the excitement was building. All classes in the school, from Year 1 to Year 6 were involved in our 6 week program and it was great to see familiar faces, plus our new Year 1 students.
It is always a pleasure to bring our program into the school each year and work with such enthusiastic and energetic students. Some of the students are natural extroverts and have enjoyed learning more about theatre techniques, and some students are quite shy and have benefitted from the Drama + program by building their confidence and finding their voice. Each year, every single student shows an improvement in their verbal communication and drama skills – what a privilege it is to be a part of that!
I look forward to returning with Drama + next year!
